Cookies

Leah said to me the other day "Mom will you teach me how to cook?" What a happy moment as a mom to have your oldest daughter ask you to teach her to do something that would be soooo helpful. So we started with cookies. It was great. Yummy too.
Big soft ginger cookies!
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp.ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cinnamon
1/2 ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. In seperate bowl, cream butter until creamy and light. Add egg and molasses; beat well. Mix dry ingredients into beater. Shape into balls 1 1/2" size. Roll lightly in sugar. Place on cookie sheet. Cook for about 10 min. Don't overcook. They are better when soft! Enjoy and take to the people who need some sweetness in their life.
